A typical rarity that is only produced in Japan: The so-called "stem leaf tea". The still green, non-woody parts of the shoot axes of the tea plant (called stems) are mixed with classic sencha leaves. The light green shoot parts and the dark green leaves form an attractive contrast. The tea has a very intense aroma, is particularly strong, and sometimes slightly bitter. The cup is bright green and tends to have a slight cloudiness. Delicate, floral aroma.
